Excel counting

Hello

I would really appreciated if you could help me with question below:

For example, I have column:

BL

RF

BL

BL

RF

RF

and etc

what formulas could be useful to make it look like:

BL 1

RF 1

BL 2

BL 3

RF 2 

RF 3

and etc

So, basically I would like to make excel look at what date is in column and if it is already occurred before make it + 1

Hi @DShamanov,

You can try constructing the formula as below

=A1&COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1)

  which should work fine per your requirement
