I have a .csv file that is comma separated between columns. When I open the file in Excel, the data appears as expected, separated in columns. However, when a coworker opens the same file in Excel, the data is separated by commas.
When we check the Control Panel > Region > Additional Settings > 'List Separator' settings, we both show the same setting: a Comma.
So why does the data appear as separated by commas for my coworker, however when I open the same file, I see the data separated in columns?

Let your coworker check File > Options > Advanced in Excel.
Has the check box 'Use system separators' been cleared and has 'Decimal separator' been set to comma?

@Hans Vogelaar thank you for the info! That seems to be the issue. When I reached out to my coworker the next day, she checked her decimal separator setting and it was set to a 'comma' instead of a 'decimal'. Thank you!!
