Excel Conditional Formatting Dates

How do you Conditional Format so that an expired date in a cell will highlight if its older then the current date of the open workbook or entered updated date?

Example:

Cell "A2" Today's Date: 1/12/23

Cell "K15" Passed Date: 1/1/23 (needs to highlight)

It could be the rule with the formula

=K15 < TODAY()
