'Thanks for all your efforts. I have investigated the issue at my end. My daughter saved a picture of her certificate and somehow it got saved in place of my workbook and hence the file while was .xlsx format was overwritten by a picture. So i guess I have lost the file. Many thanks for the support.'

I can not download your file.

If possible, share your file by below cloud driver.

It looks like file is not in Excel format. Beginning of it looks like

After I viewed your file with an editor vim,I have found it is not a valid Excel file.

Then I renamed the file name to Accounts.xlsx.pdf and found this.

You can try rename it to .pdf and open again.

In fact, rename it to accounts.xlsx.jpg and can open it too.

In Binary view, first 2 bytes FF D8 is JPEG notation.

So this is a .jpg file which sounds more reasonable.

Thanks for all your efforts. I have investigated the issue at my end. My daughter saved a picture of her certificate and somehow it got saved in place of my workbook and hence the file while was .xlsx format was overwritten by a picture. So i guess I have lost the file. Many thanks for the support.

Sorry to hear that. One of options to avid that, if you have 365 subscription, keep files on OneDrive mapped on local disk. With that you have quite long versions history from which previous version of the file could be restored.

thanks alot. my file was being backup on OneDrive.

i was able to recover a 3 days older version.

i am so thankful to you.
