Excel 2016

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I am dealing a lot with decimal numbers, and find after every input I have to go back to format to get the decimal point to act.Is there a command I can use to keep the decimal point active till I am until I am finished with it.Instead of continually input it from format

Many Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael,

You have an option to preset the format on empty cells before you enter the numbers.

Select the targeted columns, and press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog box.

After that, just select the Number category, change the decimal places, and then hit OK.
