Error: Regression - Input Must Be Single Row or Column

Copper Contributor

I keep getting an error popping up while trying to run a regression for work. This error keeps telling me that my input must be a single row or column. From what I can tell, it is referencing my X input, and it is in fact one column. For some reason it will not recognize this is the case, and I am on a strict deadline. This is starting to get a tad infuriating.

C1:N13 is 13 rows and 12 columns.

For linear regression, Excel will accept multiple independent X values but the result has to be a single Y value. In the posted screenshot there are 12 Y values for each X value.

I am having the same error when trying to run a regression analysis where i have one independent variable X (on one column) and three dependent variable Y (3 columns) . Does this mean excel regression formula cannot work when the Y variables are more than or in multiple columns. What is the way out. I cannot achieve my objective with one variable Y but needs to achieve that with other two control variables. Please guide or advice@tusharm10
