Entering Last Modified/User in Footer or Cell

Copper Contributor

Hi all,

Am I crazy or did you used to be able to enter the 'last modified' in excel (normally in the footer)?  And why can't you do now?  Do I need to change authors possibly?

Help :)

That has never been a built-in feature of Excel. It's possible to use VBA for this - see How to insert last modified date in Excel header or footer?

many thanks
