Drop down menu stuff

Copper Contributor

How do I get the Drop Down Menu on C3, Price adjust New and Price Adjust Old to calculate the right values that I require for d3? New is =d2*.70 and old is d2*.50..  I have on the master page the 2 equations i need. I just dont know how to word this properly to search for videos on how to do this.

I changed the drop down to the single word "Used" or "New" just to make the IFS formula shorter. And I used IFS even though IF would have sufficed for the two conditions, because I wanted to allow for the possibility that you might want to add a third or fourth basis for adjusting prices. My own convention, too, is to use a pale yellow background to highlight cells where user entry is expected.

Here's a resource that explains the IFS function. https://exceljet.net/excel-functions/excel-ifs-function

Thank you very much, thanks for the link!! Now I got me some reading to do!!
