Displaying dates in a pivot table.

Copper Contributor

Using EXCEL in OFFice 365, Windows 10 Computer.

Row Heading is date. Format in table is 9-Jan or 16-Jan not 01/09/22 or 01/16/22 and I can't change it.

The table I constructed for last year's data was fine. When I created the table in this years file problem cropped up. I tried copying P/Y's table in new file, changing source data - no joy.

Do you have dates (e.g. 01/09/22 formatted as dd-mmm) or texts (like "09-Jan") ?

Cancel this. I figured it out. Changed the dates in the data to number format, constructed the table, set the date format in the table to mm/dd/yy and voila 01/02/22 appeared. Changed the dates in the data back to mm/dd/yy and the pivot table appearance stayed mm/dd/yy
See my reply to myself as I figured out the solution

@Paul_Cardin , okay, thanks
