The research pane in Excel pops up randomly just about once a day. It slows my computer down and makes it almost impossible to continue to work without closing Excel and reopening. In addition, for me anyway, it is a completely useless function.
Is there a way to permanently disable this function? I've removed it from the "Review" tab and tried the VBA solution I saw floating around a couple other forums, but neither of those has done the trick.
