Defined Names

hey can we add defined names in excel in office.com and can we select all sheets in office.com ????

This may help you if using Excel Web App,,,

 

The Excel Web App cannot create Named Cells,,  however you can create named cells in the desktop version at client's end.  and then use it to embed from the Excel Web App.

 

If working with Excel Online or any popular version of XL,,

 

  • Select the range for which you want to create a Named Range.
  • Hit Formulas  then  Define Name.
  • In  New Name dialogue box, type the Name you wish to assign to the selected data range.
  • You can specify the scope as the entire workbook or a specific worksheet.
  • If you select a particular sheet, the name would not be available on other sheets.
  • Click OK.

Another is,, 

  • Select the range.
  • Go to the Name Box on the left of Formula bar & enter the name of the with which you want to create the Named Range.

"select all sheets" also so far doesn't work in Excel Online.
