Date shortcut not working Word 2016

Hello

I don't use it often however I tried it now and  Ctrl+; did not give me current date...

Ctrl+Shift+; did work, meaning- it did give me current time

What is the language you are using for Excel? is it English?

Hello Jihad

First of all I made a mistake, I meant Excel 2016 ,  not word 2016

Second, after many attempts, I tried three hour later and it worked...
