Date issue that probably has a simple solution

I have created a time sheet and would like to have the dates update, auto fill, populate, whatever its called for me.  Where I am running into an issue is I need this done in every other cell not every cell.  All I can find is solutions that input for every cell in the column.  I have attached a copy of what I am working on.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

Enter a date in A5.

Select A5 and A6.

Drag the fill handle in the lower right corner of the selection down to A18.

Alternatively:

Enter a date in A5.

Enter the following formula in A7: =A5+1

Copy A7 to A9, A11, ...,, A17
