Date format in data entry forms

Copper Contributor

I've created a number of data entry forms for different tables in a workbook. All working as they should be and I know apart from putting validation on the tables themselves there aren't many changes that  can be made to the forms themselves. However, when inputting dates in UK format (DD/MM/YYYY) into the forms I notice that it changes them to US format (MM/DD/YYYY) when you look at them afterward. Strangely if I enter the dates straight into the table without using the data entry form the dates when viewed through the data entry form stay in UK format. Is there anyway to let excel know to use UK date format in the data entry forms?

I'm using windows 10, office 365 for business and excel version 2104
