Date Conversion

Copper Contributor

A SQL report, when  exported to Excel, has the Date in a General Format (left alignment). I need to convert this date into a usable Date (right alignment). I am unable to convert the Date into a format as if I actually entered the Date (i.e. 10/15/2022). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

Select such dates in a column.

On the Data tab of the ribbon, click Text to Columns.

Click Next > twice.

In Step 3, select Date, then select the format that best fits the values as they currently are (MDY, DMY, YMD, ...).

Click Finish.

Apply the format that you prefer.

Does that work?
