Data format in Excel

I am trying to change formating of  data representing numer of the buliding for instance 4A which has been changed by Excel to 4:00 AM.

Afraid you can't return it back just by formatting. Enter your building numbers as text

- select column/cells where they'll be, Ctrl+1 and apply Text format; or

- add your numbers with ampersand like '4A
