Custom sort

Hi, I'm new to this group so I apologise if this has already been covered. I'm trying to Custom Sort column 'A' but I keep getting an error message saying that all the merged cells have to be the same size. Can anybody shed some light on this please?

First, try to avoid merged cells at all, they are just source of headache. You may use Centr Across Selection format instead.

To sort you need unmerge all merged cells; or merge all cells in the range exactly the same way.
