Custom formatting numbers

Copper Contributor

I wanted to abbreviate large numbers like 1000000 into 1M using the custom [>999999]#,, "M";#, "K" formula which should convert 1000000 into 1M or 100000 into 100K but instead, it shows 1000000,, M

Please can someone help?

Works for me.  But for me, comma is the thousands separator.

My guess:  for you, period is the thousands separator.

So you should use Custom [>999999]#.. "M";#. "K"

thank you. I just solved it.
