I need help formatting a negative number in Excel. In the format cells option, I am considering the customized one: _(* # ##0_);_(* (# ##0);_(* "-"_);_(@_) – this way I get a right formatting for the numbers with thousands, e.g. (10 003). However, negative numbers with 3 digits present an extra space between the first parenthesis and the number e.g. ( 103).
Please help me to custom the formula, in order to exclude the extra space before numbers with hundreds. I do not want to change the thousand separator option in Excel properties.
