Cross multiplication with variable input across cells

Copper Contributor

Hi,  I am looking for a formula that can help me cross multiply across cells.

For example, I have a food product with known nutritional values (eg, energy, protein, carbohydrates etc)  I would like to input one nutritional value and get the resulting values of the product.

See attached excel for example.

For the excel, I would like to enter 6 of protein for the apple and get the resulting grams, energy, carbohydrates etc.

Are you saying you'd like to change, for example, the value or protein and see how that affects other values?

This is what I propose: You will retain your initial 'gold standard' composition. The orange cells are your input cells and the grey cells are you output. In this case it uses proportions of the totals from the input and original composition to estimate the output.

Let me know if this works for you.
