Creating Y2 axis on microsoft 365 online excel document

Copper Contributor

Hi, I am attempting to create an excel chart with a y2 axis, but clicking on the trendline and clicking format leads to this picture. I have watched countless "how-to" videos online to do this but none of them align with the options given on my screen when I click the same thing (if that makes sense). Shown is where I generally get stuck: of all the drop-down menus to the side, none of them contain an option to add a secondary/y2 axis. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, have a great day!

Creating a secondary axis is not (yet) supported in the online version of Excel.

You will have to open the workbook in the desktop version of Excel for Windows or MacOS in order to create a secondary axis.

@Hans Vogelaar Great to know. Appreciate the info and quick response!
