Creating formulas or macros to check dates and enter data

Hello everybody!

 

I need to create a formula where when the available date/time is already taken or not free/available, it will show you a message that is already taken.

 

The "General" sheet is a sheet that summarizes all the days on which masses for the dead are marked.

"applicant" is someone who asks to say mass for the deceased

"request" is the date that the applicant requests

"defunct/s" is the dead person

"date" and "hour" are the free date and time that have been assigned to that applicant (obviously if the requested date is busy the date will be different).

 

The other three sheets are three people who have booked masses for the deceased (therefore they are the applicants).

 

The steps are these:

1. the applicant (f.e. Mr. Esposito) comes to me and asks for masses so i insert him requests (f.e. 6/1) and defunct/s (f.e. Michelina and Rosario).

2. I insert him request and IF THE DATE IS FREE THAT DATE INSERT AUTOMATICALLY IN "General" SHEET; IF THE DATE IS OCCUPED I WANT VIEW AN ERROR MESSAGE.
