create a stacked area chart that ignores blank cells

I have a very large data set that examines GDP per capita across several countries over time. I would like to compile the data into a stacked area graph, so that I can see the cumulative growth in GDP per capita. However, the data contains a multitude of blank cells, as it dates back 2000 years. When I create a scatter plot, I can ignore blank cells and connect points directly using the "hidden & empty cells" button. When I attempt to plot as a stacked graph, the option is not available.  I have attached a small example from within my data that shows the same data plotted as a scatter plot, and as stacked area.

Because the data includes 200 columns, and varied blanks throughout, I would like to find an efficient way to create linear progression between two filled cells, so that I can accurately measure a total GDP per capita.
