Counting number of each entry

My excel skills are pretty basic, so I apologise in advance if my terminology is a bit off...

Is there a simple way to count how many times each team name occurs in the attached spreadsheet?

For example, how many times Bayern Munich is in there.

You may use COUNTIF() as

=COUNTIF(Range,"Team name")

where the Range is the reference on your data
