I have several cells with a timecode like "tt:mm:ss:ff" (ff being frames of which there is 24 of per second). I have yet to figure out a way to convert this into whole seconds with a formula. Anyone here who has the experience to do such a thing?

That could be like

Formula is

=TIMEVALUE(LEFT(A1,8))+RIGHT(A1,2)/24/60/60/24

@mortenhjort

With the permission of everyone, here are a few more examples about time,

in addition to the correct solution from Mr. Baklan.

I wish you continued success with Excel

I know I don't know anything (Socrates)

Sorry, but I found no one example of working with frames in file you submitted.

ups ... didn't see the frame ... all good.
thanks
