Conditional formatting

Copper Contributor

Hi

I am trying to format a row of data so that it greys out if I enter certain text into another cell.

Example: If I type a letter in column H then all the columns (A-H or A-G if it's easier) in that row grey out.

Apologies if this has already been asked and thanks in advance.

@BEphgrave , use a rule formula like =$H1=<your text> and apply it to your entire range. (or $H# if your range starts from # row). It's important to acre about absolute and relative references in your formula.
