Conditional formatting works for one column but not another

Copper Contributor

So in the conditional formatting rules cells are being compared against another cell in the row then given a green/yellow/red colour depending on its amount. I've applied the same rules to both columns but column E works and column B won't display the Green colour despite the rules almost being identical to E.

I've attached the rules I've used and what its outputting on my document.

Thanks.

P.S, not sure why it is not letting attach the 2nd picture in the series here.

The order of rules in the Manage Conditional Formatting Rules dialog is important. The rules for column D are in a different order than those for column E. You can move rules up and down in this dialog using the ^ and v buttons.

In addition, you don't need so many rules, in general for one color is enough one rule. In you case you may apply =D2>=$G2 to $D$2:$E$83 for the green, same with other colors.

Both solutions worked. Thanks.
