I am working on a "template" for recording different readings there is an upper and lower dimension that is allowed, while I can have the sheet calculate the upper and lower readings based on the nominal reading. I then use that reading a basis for my rules. currently, I have set up 3 for column 1 to turn red if the entry exceeds either limit (i don't know how to "or"). so I have a column on to work and now need to repeat this for 5 - 10 more columns with there own nominal readings.  the question is - is there an easy way to "drag" (or copy)  the formulas to the other columns or must I create them individually??

Note: dragging copies the results, (duh) & format painter didn't work either as suggested on another blog..

help..

can anyone help??
