Commit a hyperlink created through the =hyperlink formula

Copper Contributor

Hi, I've created a hyperlink to a webpage in a cell using the hyperlink formula.

ex. =HYPERLINK(B40,A40)

where column B is the link and column A is the friendly text I want to display.

Now I'm trying to commit the formula, i.e. drop the cell references and copy the hyperlinked text to cell a separate file. None of the special paste options seem to work.

Let me know if you have suggestions, including some other way to mass add links.

Thanks for taking the time,

So you want to keep the hyperlink working but not reference B40 or A40 anymore?

The only option i could find was to paste the links to Word , copy, then paste back to Excel

Hey Wyn, yeah that's exactly it. I really thought I was overlooking something simple.

Thanks for checking this out. Your suggestion is helpful.
