I had a ~16MB Excel file that was loading slowly and performing poorly (~1 minute to recover from a simple operation of unhiding rows that were "Grouped"). I found an article that suggested turning "ForceFullCalculation" to "True" in Visual Basic Workbook properties. I tried it, and performance dramatically improved; however, now charts won't update to reflect changes in tables feeding the charts. I spoke with MS Support: their Tier 2 noted that, "Force Full Calculation actually turns off features (like updates) to get processing power", and weren't able to provide any further assistance...but they did point me to this community.
Can anyone here help? I need the responsiveness that "FFC" brought, but I need my charts to update when changes are made to the underlying data.
