Change a normal AD/Exchange account into a resource or give a Exchange resource a password

We have Crestron Scheduling panels to show when conference rooms are busy but they require a user name and password to log into the panels. Our office user have always used room Resources to schedule meetings before we bought the new Crestron panels so I would like to use Exchange Resources but they do not have password to log into the scheduling panels. I created AD user account and Exchange accounts for our new rooms and you can use those generic accounts to log into the scheduling panels but they do not function as a Resource would like letting the user know the meeting room has already been scheduled by another user. So if I could either use the power-shell to make the generic user accounts function as a Resource or find a way to add a password to Resources I would be fine. We are running an Exchange 2016 on-premise server. Any ideas?

Afraid this question is not for Excel community, better to ask Exchange one.
