Cell color based on text

How do I auto fill cell with color based on text entered? Name1 = yellow, name2= red?

You can use Conditional Formatting for this:

• Select the cell or cells.
• On the Home tab of the ribbon, select Conditional Formatting > New Rule...
• Select 'Format only cells that contain'
• Leave the first drop down set to 'Cell Value'.
• Select 'equal to' from the second drop down.
• Enter Name1 in the box next to it.
• Click Format...
• Activate the Fill tab.
• Select a color.
• Click OK, then click OK again.
• Repeat these steps for each name, with a different color each time.
