Can't enable PowerPivot for Office 365

Copper Contributor

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to enable Power Pivot but it just won't show.

I've followed this thread in its entirety (reinstalling) and it still won't work.

I've tried to submit pictures but it won't let me.

  • I have Office 365 Apps for Enterprise
  • In File -> Options -> Data -> Enable Data Analysis add-ins: Power Pivot, Power Viewer and 3D Maps the tickbox is ticked
  • In File -> Options -> Add Ins -> COM Add Ins -> Power Pivot is not there (Inquire, MS Data Streamer and MS Power Map
  • Office is fully up-to date

Any advice would be very welcomed!

Where is Power Pivot?

Note: This link was last updated on 1/8/2019. Power Pivot availability will depend on your current version of Office. If you're a Microsoft 365 subscriber, make sure you have the latest updates installed.

Hope this link is helpful to you.

Thank you - I'm fully up to date and still no avail unfortunately :(

@Sillery

If you've already followed these steps, Power Pivot should actually appear.

Steps: go to the "Insert" tab, "Add-Ins" section. From the My Add-Ins pull-down menu, choose Manage Other Add-Ins. In the pop-up window, select "COM Add-Ins" in the "Manage" field at the bottom.

Then you will be presented with the Power Pivot add-in.

If this does not work and all updates have already been carried out, try starting in safe mode.

If that doesn't help, I can only assume that you are in a network and your network administrator is not allowing certain functions to be executed.

As I said, just a guess if everything above doesn't work.

Thank you for your understanding and time
