can multiple 3d models have the same position along the z axis?

I am inserting a few 3d models into a spread sheet and ive noticed that they are all "on top" of each other. is there a way so they each have the same position along the z-axis? im trying to do something similar to inserting a key into a lock. they way it currently is the key would just go over the lock and not into the hole.
