Calendar template editing - repeating dates

Hello everyone, 

I am using Microsoft Excel for MacOS 10 (version 16.43) for editing a 12-Months calendar template. 
The dates are automatically changing and adapting through the years, but the content I write below each date does not adapt through the years. 

Example : If I write under Saturday 2nd January, 2021 "X's Birthday" and I change the year to 2022 I am expecting to have "Sunday 02.02.22 X's Birthday". However, it does not match and becomes : 1st January 2022 (Saturday). 

How can I solve this issue ?

The calendar template is not intended for that.

For repeating events such as birthdays, it's better to use the calendar in Outlook or Thunderbird, or Google Calendar.
