Brand new to Excel

Hello, I am new to this process. I mean I know absolutely nothing about Excel, spreadsheets and whatnot. I'm trying to transfer my products from eBay to QuickBooks via an excel or csv file. When I pick the Excel file of the eBay products and import to QuickBooks it won't transfer. I have been watching the help videos but it's not really telling me what I need to know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It's really not an Excel question you're asking. It's more of a matter of which kind of file QuickBooks accepts. Even if QuickBooks accepts Excel-formatted files, there can be complications depending on versions, etc.

The whole reason for CSV files is their greater "universal" applicability, based on their raw simplicity. So if you haven't tried CSV, that would be my first recommendation.
