AutoSum

Hi!  When I highlight a group of cells in a column and hit 'Autosum' I get the total of numbers in the whole column not just the highlighted cells.  I can manually enter for instance '=Sum(F4:F12)' and it will total correctly but if I use the AutoSum button I get the sum of the whole column.  Cells are set to General.

Any advice is very welcome!

@HillaryC Unless I'm mistaken, that's exactly how AutoSum is supposed to work. Column wise or row wise.

My understanding it that when you have selected a section of numbers within a column and then use the autosum button it should only total the selected numbers not the whole column.
