Autofill

I am making a file for employees to enter information about their shift and would like Excel to autofill information for them. I would like them to be able to enter their employee number and then have Excel Autofill their full name as well as what shift they worked; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Is there a formula I can use for this or will I have to use VBA macros? Any help with either would be much appreciated!
