The company I work for uses excel to keep track of customer complaints for specific SKUs that they sell. We also use Excel to perform basic metrics to track and trend data.
My question here is that I want to have 2019's spreadsheet auto populate the product name and the manufacturer when the SKU is entered into a column.
For example: Column A is the reported SKU and then in Column C the product name will auto populate.
I would also like to know how to lock out the auto populated columns so that other users will not be able to change the data. I already have another sheet within the workbook that has all the SKUs, product names, and manufacturers listed. The difficulties I keep running into are the duplicate manufacturers for most of the SKUs.
