Arrow Key Function in Excel

Copper Contributor

I am using the most current version of Excel through my Office 365 subscription.  I use Excel on a daily basis.  Today, when I opened Excel, my arrow keys no longer move the active cell up, down, left or right.  The arrow keys now leave the active cell where it is and the entire spreadsheet now moves left, right, up or down based on which arrow key is pressed.  I went into Options for Excel, but I cannot find anything that changes the arrow key function.  How can I change the arrow keys back to the function of moving the active cell?

I suspect you inadvertently turned on Scroll Lock.

If your keyboard has a Scroll Lock key, press it.

Otherwise, use an on-screen keyboard.

Hans - that did the trick. Thank you very much.
