Advanced IF and Vlookup formula help !!

Hi there, can anyone help?!
Im trying to use the if and vlookup formula to return values in GBP

So if the currency says GBP, I want it to return the cell as it is, if it says EUR, I want it to (vlookup) look up the exchange rate from a table and times (×) the cell by the exchange rate.
example:
=If($E2="GBP",$D2, (then want it to say if E2="EUR",then using the month from cell B2 vlookup the February currency rate and do E2*currency rate. )

We have to know how those tables look, to figure out how to build the right formula!

So please provide us with a sample of the tables in an attached workbook.
