Advanced Filter, In-Place, Unique records only is not hiding duplicate rows

Copper Contributor

I have a sheet where duplicate records are valid.

I do not want to remove them, just temporarily hide them to display and print only the unique records.

Advanced Filter, In-place, Unique records only shows 246 of 252 in lower left of sheet.

The filter is being applied but the display and the print preview are still showing all 252 rows.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

Hello,

Hello,

I will suggest you use normal filter to filter the data to exactly what you want to print. After that, copy the unique data to another sheet and print... Just my suggestion!

@Abiola1  Thanks for the reply! Unique records only IS the criteria.

The feature is in Excel 2019, so I'm sure it's meant to do what I want, plus it's showing a filter results message, "246 of 252 records" that declares it's working.

I'm doing exactly what the Excel Help file says to do, so I'm at a loss as to why it's not working.

@Abiola1 FYI, I discovered that it was working, but it was leaving the room numbers alone, which fooled me.
