Adding rows in Excel

Copper Contributor

When adding rows, I right click the left-hand-side end of the row and select "Insert".  This inserts one row.  I then have to do this many times to insert more rows.  Is there a way to ask it to insert, say, 20 rows?

Thanks

Select 20 rows starting at the row where you want to insert, then press Ctrl+PlusSign, R, and click OK.

Thanks @Twifoo I just tried that but all it did was put an "r" in the first cell in the row!  Must be doing it wrong.  I hightlighted some rows, pressed Cntrl and + simultaneously then pressed "r"?

R means select entire row in the Insert dialog box.

@Twifoo Just tried selecting several rows, pressed Ctrl+Shift+plussign and it inserted that number of rows!  Didn't need to use "R".  Thanks - got there in the end!
