Adding one day to a date in Excel office 365

I created a formula to add one day to a date in column A. Works well however I need to keep the calendar correct. For example I want to add one day to February 28. The formula returned February 29 when this was not a leap year and should have returned March 1.

What year would that be?

And can you provide a sample workbook with the formula to verify the problem?

The year of the date in Column A might be a leap year but such date is formatted as mmmm dd.

@saramj430 , interesting, the formula is like =A1+1 or that's something much more complicated
