Adding Grand Total column in a Stacked Column Chart

Brass Contributor

Good day all!

I have a stacked column chart from my pivot table. There is a "Grand Total" column which in the Pivot Table.

What I want to do is since my pivot table contains quite a lot of big amounts, I simply want to show the total for each column at the top.

I right-clicked on the chart and clicked on "SELECT DATA". The option to "ADD" is inactive which means I cannot add anything. I have fiddled with it for a bit but still unable to solve this. Any ideas will be really welcome!

Attached a screenshot. Thanks!

@NoviceKB Although you labelled your question "Excel on Mac", your picture suggest you're on a PC version of Excel. The following link explains how you can add grand totals to a Pivot Chart. Using CUBE functions or via a regular chart based on data linked to pivoted data.
