Add or register an ActiveX control

I want to create a date picker or a drop-down calendar. I tried to create it by installing an ActiveX control, but it keeps showing me this message: 

"The selected file does not contain any self- registration ActiveX controls."

How to solve this issue? And is there another way to create a drop-down calendar?

Hi Kinuasa and thank you. But unfortunately, I followed the instructions to add it, and it succeeded. I restarted Excel and still the Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control does not appear under the more controls option. How can I resolve that?
