I recently had to upgrade from Excel 2003, to Excel 2019. I am accustomed to one instance of Excel open, with a number of workbooks opened in it, and I could toggle from one workbook to the next. I have since discovered how to toggle between workbooks in Excel 2019, but I find all the open Excel windows to make for a messy desktop. Is there any way I can set Excel up, to open all files in one instance of Excel, like in 2003 version?
I've been trying to accomplish this for almost a month, looking at forums and googling everything I can think of.

No, there is no way to return to the old MDI (multiple document interface).

Thank you Hans. Sorry, I thought I had already responded to your reply. I suppose I'll have to just get used to the new Excel.
