I am trying to build a spreadsheet with a table recording monthly (rows) business takings by year (columns) that will apply conditional formatting (red and green) depending on a like for like comparison with the same month the previous year. Underneath each cell this comparison will also be represented by 2 further cells defining the difference between the 2 months in both value (pounds) and percentage increase or loss.
Whilst I can create the conditional formatting for the first part for a single cell, it goes wrong if I try to apply it across the range that comprises the table.
I really don't want to manually apply the conditions hundreds of times and I don't know how to do the 2nd bit.
Can anyone help me please?
