Excel for Windows, Mac, and web

New Edit with Copilot capabilities
- Work IQ context with Copilot in Excel
Work IQ
automatically brings in the most relevant context — from emails, meetings, chats, files — without requiring users to manually reference them. This helps Copilot make more accurate, multi‑step edits that reflect the latest context about users, their work, and their relationships. This feature rolled out in March for users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

- Expanded language support
Edit with Copilot now supports all standard Copilot languages.
- Claude Opus 4.6
Claude Opus 4.6 is now supported in the model selector for users with M365 Premium and/or enterprise M365 Copilot license.

Office Scripts UI Redesign #FIA
Office Scripts helps you automate repetitive work in Excel by recording actions or writing scripts that can run again in seconds. The UI redesign refreshes the Office Scripts experience so it’s easier to find, create, manage, and share scripts—whether you’re just getting started or already building advanced automations. The goal is a cleaner, more consistent, and more accessible interface that helps people get value from automation faster. Learn more here >

Excel for the web

A faster way to find your Excel files online
This feature enables you to easily search for your Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files when you’re working in the web app homepage. You no longer need to waste time scanning the homepage looking for the right file – just start typing your file name in the Search bar, and your file will surface in a drop-down list underneath the Search bar.
