Our Office Scripts team is investigating ways we can improve our feature and invite you to give feedback to decide our next steps. If you use automations in your spreadsheets (whether or not you use Office Scripts), we’re looking for about 5 minutes of your time to fill out this survey.

On behalf of our entire team, thank you so much!

Those who have money will pay someone (usually who does not have money) but have all the time in the world to learn how to automate things (they use their creative minds to acquire money)  It wasn't an accident how people learned vb it was because it came with excel for free, but now it isn't so ... I think you know where this comment is heading.

"Our Office Scripts team is investigating ways we can improve .....!!!!!"

Nice to know @NancyatMSFT  - Just curious to know if the VBA Team is also looking as ways to improve - or are they content with occasional updates to the object model any time a new feature gets added by the other teams - or have they give up hope and have become a 2 member team sitting in the basement of some office building

If they are looking for inspiration to bring the VBE IDE in to the current century look at Mathieu Guindon's Rubberduck -https://rubberduckvba.com/ and see how one man's brilliance far outshines the might of a cash rich organization like M$

Need more inspiration look for Govert's work on https://excel-dna.net/

This is just to name a few

Now compare it with with improvements done to the VBE by the VBA Team in the last 15 Years - Approx ZERO

We cant even do basic stuff like  Zoom, indent the code, export /import modules in Bulk - and this list goes on and on and on.

And you now you ask us "----If you use automations in your spreadsheets. !!!!" - The Question that you should be asking is does the Leadership in the Excel Team have the vision to look at Excel as a Serious Development platform like they use to in 2002 - When We have a "Developer Edition" of Office  - Before the UI Astronauts took over in 2007

Cheers

Sam

Hi everyone. I use VBA, but I also want to learn about Script Lab, but I cannot use it. When I try to get it, I get the following error message that does not allow me to use it.

I would really appreciate your help please, I really want to learn how to use it.

Hi

Using VBA for 10 years. Its perfect and no need to change...

Yes it's sometimes hard to program... but this new "thing" will certainly have their own limits..

Don't change something that work ! And work very well...

VBA is the best and will always be the best platform for Automation.

It is not constantly being updated with "more complicated ways of doing the same thing"

C# VSTO .NET is too complicated.

JavaScript OfficeJS is going exactly the same way, way to complicated and very few users from the Front Office are going to embrace this.

The winning ingredient here is simplicity and accessibility - VBA has both !!
